168th & State Street Improvements

The 168th & State Street intersection had long been recognized as a high-risk area due to limited sightlines and a history of frequent accidents. TD2 provided engineering design, construction observation, survey support, and materials testing services for the full reconstruction of this critical intersection.

The project addressed major safety and capacity challenges through widened approaches, dedicated turn lanes, a new traffic signal system, and a significant 17-foot grade reduction to dramatically improve visibility and driver safety.

These improvements have transformed the intersection—enhancing safety, improving traffic efficiency, and supporting future growth in this rapidly developing area of northwest Omaha.
